The principle site of training for our residents is UCLA Medical Center (Center for the Health Sciences). This hospital will be replaced by the state-of-the-art Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, opening Spring 2008.

Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center
All residents have the unique opportunity to rotate through multiple tertiary hospitals to achieve a broader clinical training. These outside rotations allow our residents to work with a variety of patient populations, see a different spectrum of diseases, and learn to practice medicine in multiple systems of care.
As a resident at UCLA, you will spend:
2-3 months at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center (during the PGY-1 and PGY-3 years)
1-2 months at the West Los Angeles VA Hospital (any year of training)
1 month at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (during the PGY-2 year)
3-4 months at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center (during the PGY-2 and PGY-3 years).
Our outpatient experience is diverse as well. Residents all have their continuity practice at UCLA Medical Center (at the Internal Medicine Suites) and run clinic at the Simms-Mann Health Center. In addition, residents may elect to have additional outpatient clinic experience at the new Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center clinics.
